First Aid Instructor

With your Canadian Red Cross First Aid Instructor (FAI), you can deliver many first aid and CPR programs, including:

  • Standard First Aid
  • Emergency First Aid
  • CPR Levels with AED
  • Child Emergency First Aid
  • Child Care Standard First Aid
  • Marine Basic First Aid.

FAI is also one of the prerequisites for Advanced First Aid Instructor program modules.

  • The FAI course has two components; the first part is the Fundamentals of Instruction (about 16 hours), and the second part is the First Aid and CPR Instructor Discipline Specific Module (about 16 hours).
    • Prerequisites: 18+ years old; recent Standard First Aid.
    • There are both online and classroom components.
    • Those who are a First Aid Instructor with a recognized agency (such as the Lifesaving Society, St John Ambulance or Heart and Stroke Canada) only need to do the First Aid and CPR Discipline Specific Module; in other words, this is a First Aid Instructor Transfer. 

Course dates:

    • Full Course (Fundamentals of Instruction and First Aid and CPR Discipline Specific Module),  April 7-10, from 10:00-6:00.  $1099 + GST .
    • First Aid Instructor Transfer, April 9-10, from 10:00-6:00. $699 + GST.
    • Full Course (Fundamentals of Instruction and First Aid and CPR Discipline Specific Module),  June 17-20, from 8:00-4:00.  $1099 + GST .
    • First Aid Instructor Transfer, June 19-20, from 8:00-4:00. $699 + GST.

  • Wednesday, April 30, 2025, from 10:00-5:00; $239.00 + GST.
  • Thursday, May 29, 2025, from 10:00-5:00; $239.00 + GST.
  • Monday, June 16, 2025, from 10:00-5:00; $239.00 + GST.
