Lifesaving Instructor (LSI)
Lifesaving Instructors can teach and examine the Bronze Awards and Swim Patrol. Lifesaving Instructors can find jobs teaching at community pools, private pools, waterfront programs, camps, school division swim programs and private swimming programs. Lifesaving Instructor certification is good across Canada.
Prerequisites:
- Bronze Cross or higher
- Age 15 or older

- Fridays from 5:30-8:30 and Saturdays from 8:30-5:30, June 5, 6, 19, 20, at Birds Hill Park waterfront.

Recertifications
Your LSI is good for two years. After that, you must recertify to maintain your certification. If you have expired, you have a five-year grace period. You can simply take an LSI Recert and become recertified. If it is longer than that, there are some options so please contact us.
- Monday from 12:30-4:30, May 25, (Lifesaving Instructor only) at the Birds Hill Park waterfront.
- Monday from 8:30-4:30, May 25, (Lifesaving Instructor and Swimming Instructor) at the Birds Hill Park waterfront.
- Friday from 12:30-4:30, June 26, (Lifesaving Instructor only) at the Birds Hill Park waterfront.
- Friday from 8:30-4:30, June 26, (Lifesaving Instructor and Swimming Instructor) at the Birds Hill Park waterfront.
